This project is a media art that wishes everyone good luck in Seoul. While visitors looking at the K-culture screen in Seoul Gwanghwamun Square, <Your Lucky Seoul> conveys the hope of Seoul through ‘3D typography’. Letterings such as ‘Passion to Challenge’, ‘New Dream’, ‘Precious Love’, ‘Turbulent Courage’ were inspired by a korea traditional folkpainting ‘Munjado’, hoping to reinterpret good luck with related symbol and typography on the anamorphic screen.
본 프로젝트는 서울을 찾는 모든 이의 행운을 기원하는 미디어아트 작업이다. 서울 광화문 광장의 K-컬처 스크린을 통해 선보이는 <Your Lucky Seoul>은 '3D 타이포그래피'를 활용해 서울이 품은 희망의 메시지를 전달한다. '도전을 향한 열정', '새로운 꿈', '소중한 사랑', '당당한 용기'와 같은 글자들은 한국 전통 민화인 '문자도'에서 영감을 얻었다. 아나모픽 스크린 위에서 각 키워드와 관련된 상징물과 타이포그래피를 결합해, 현대적인 감각으로 '복(福)'을 재해석하고자 했다.
